The Global Competency Survey (formally the International Skills Survey)

During the first year (2015/16) of the project, the team carried out extensive research so that they could develop a robust Global Competency Framework.

They did this by:
  • carrying out a systematic review of all the current models and frameworks available in a range of online databases
  • talking to teachers who currently teach global competencies and skills in secondary schools across the EU
  • interviewing a wide range or people (including employers, employees and students living and working abroad) across the EU and beyond

As a result of this research, they identified four key domains relevant to global skills and competencies that can help to develop globally aware citizens in secondary schools.

These domains have been developed into a survey and online report which has been through several iterations of user testing and have now been refined ready for use by all  8 - 19 year old students around the world.
