Welcome Students ... here are 4 courses on global competencies built by students for students!

Picture

Who are the courses for?

We have developed four individual but complimentary courses, based on the four domains identified in the research for the Global Competency Framework. These courses are suitable for anyone aged 8 - 19 years old in any country around the world.

How have the courses been made?

Project partner schools, led by the Cosimo de Giorgi school in Lecce,  Italy, have divided into four mixed country teams of teachers and students. In these teams they have planned, collected and created artefacts and assets (e.g. videos, captions, animations, news articles and tests using tools like book widgets, Videoscribe and edPuzzle) to insert into the four courses. These items have initially been assembled into a Web Course during March 2017 and underwent an initial phase of testing and review.  Based on extensive user feedback they have been refined and are now available as a Course accessible from this website. Please see below.

What are in the courses?

The four courses mirror the same domains as are found in the Global Competency Framework:
  • Digital, Media and Information Literacy
  • Global Citizenship and Intercultural Understanding
  • Social Awareness, Personal Attributes and Communication Skills
  • Professional and Learning Competencies
